Premier League 2 v Leicester (Loss 3-0) Friday night
Bitterly cold evening.
A very disappointing performance. I can’t remember a shot on target.
Dan Kemp played well but the Leicester defence pretty much had our forwards under control the entire game.
Oxford and Makasi are both talked about by others on this site but neither player was able to make an impression on a solid Leicester side. By comparison with last season we looked pretty toothless without Martinez or Samuelson particularly when it came to working their centre backs.
Hector-Ingram got hardly any service whereas Leicester’s Leshabela and Diabate always seemed to have loads of ball and space.
However at risk of being a poor loser. The foul count was easily in the upper 20s against Leicester and even the dwarf in the black did eventually decide enough was enough and card both their centre backs, I had to wonder if Robert ’Hoof’ was running their academy.

What I found interesting is that Oxford who played, is no longer captain. There must be a reason why the manager doesn't think he is the one to skipper a very young side any more.

Our under 23 roll call could probably give our first eleven a hell of a game with the likes of Trott,Pask,Oxford,Rice,Diop,Kemp,Holland ,Samuelson,Cullen,Coventry,Diangana,Powell,Browne,Martinez,Silva and other good fringe players.
Its not all doom and gloom

Very young side incl a 16yo and a 15yo sub.
Diangana with the first team as is Joe Powell who has travelled to Leicester. Our first team injuries means others may have played here if we had more senior players available.
Silva and Holland injured of course
